/Accessibility/

Web Accessibility Today, Web Accessibility is one of the most important issues of web developing. In Argentina, these tools have not yet been "standardized" due to disinformation or ignorance.
In other places, this web site coding or programming is mandatory. Sites are classified according to the following categories:

  • A
  • Double-A
  • Triple-A

These categories show which accessibility level the web site complies with. The highest category means the best quality and greatest number of functions.

What is it used for?

The main idea is to make the Web more accessible to all users, irrespective of the conditions or devices used to access information. Beginning from this idea, a page must be accessible to a disabled person, as well as to any person who is under external conditions that make it difficult for them to access information.
Thus, a blind person, who uses a speaking browser, will be able to understand the site as somebody who is not disabled. Thus, using this type of programming, you will enable many people to see and understand your site, from any kind of browser and under any kind of conditions.

When you release your web site, this kind of programming also helps you to achieve other goals. For instance, the web site becomes more search engine friendly.
Creating an accessible site, for example, GoogleBot Search Engine (better known as Google) "reads" your site better and can "understand" it and classify it properly. Thus your site can achieve a better position in the results of its category.
